Today's meeting between FIFA President Gianni Infantino and the President of the Indonesian Football Federation (PSSI) Erick Thohir, FIFA has decided, due to the current situation, to withdraw Indonesia from the host country of FIFA U-20 World Cup 2023. New admissions will be announced as soon as possible, with competition dates currently unchanged. Any sanctions against PSSI may be determined at a later date.
FIFA would like to emphasize that despite this decision, it is still working hard to assist the PSSI, in close cooperation and with the support of President Widodo's government, in the process of turning Indonesian football into -following the tragedy that happened in October 2022. The FIFA team will continue to stay in Indonesia in the coming months and provide PSSI with the necessary assistance, under the leadership of President Thohir.
A new meeting between the FIFA President and the PSSI President will be arranged for further discussions soon.
The reasons are not yet mentioned however this is going to be big update let see who is going to be the new host. we must need wait untill fifa officials didnlt come up with new update
