Steps to become an Cricket Umpire

1. Contact with State cricket association
2. Pass the Umpire Certification Examination
3. Participate in matches sanctioned by your state cricket association
4. Pass the Level 1 BCCI Exam
5. Pass the Level 2 BCCI Exam

On top of that you must have some additional capabilities which help you to become a professional cricket umpire.

What is the salary of a cricket umpire? The annual package for umpires varies based on different levels and conditions, as follows:

1. International cricket umpire salary:
1. ODI: $3,000 - $100,000
2. Test: $5,000 - $150,000
3. T20: $1,500 - $200,000
4. ICC: $3,000 - $200,000
2. Domestic cricket salary for A+ and A categories:
1. INR 40,000-50,000/Match
3. First-class cricket umpire salary
1. INR 25,000-30,000/ match
4. IPL umpire salary: 
5. Typically in the range of $2,200 to $2,500 per match, but the most highly paid umpire, Paul Reiffel, earns around $3,000 per match.
