Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is a professional Twenty20 cricket team based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The team competes in the Indian Premier League (IPL), which is a professional T20 cricket league in India. The franchise was founded in 2012 after the previous Hyderabad-based franchise, Deccan Chargers, was terminated by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
The SRH team is owned by Kalanithi Maran of the Sun TV Network and is captained by Indian opener batsman, David Warner. The team's home ground is Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad.
Sunrisers Hyderabad has won the IPL championship once, in 2016, and has also reached the playoffs on five other occasions (in 2013, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020). The team is known for its strong bowling attack, which includes players such as Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan, and T Natarajan, who have performed consistently well for the team in recent seasons.
